Welcome:
At Churchouse Conservation and Restoration we
are passionate about antique furniture; placing emphasis
on the careful and dedicated conservation and restoration
of fine items and associated decoration.
Our range of services include, decorative veneering, marquetry,
French polishing,
traditional upholstery, gilded work and cabinet making.
Traditional techniques
and materials are used throughout the conservation & restoration
process.
However, contemporary techniques and materials,
which are widely employed by museums, are utilised when fragile
items require stabilising and consolidating.
We also provide comprehensive, one to one tuition in conservation,
restoration, and cabinet making.
The courses are provided in
sets of units, ranging from beginners through to specialist.
This
allows the student to progress at his/her own pace.
